Welcome to the Pacific Highway Wells Crossing to Iluka Road upgrade
website.
The NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) has selected the preferred
route for the upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Wells Crossing and
Iluka Road.
The proposed 70km dual carriageway between Wells Crossing and Iluka
Road would significantly improve safety on this section of the Pacific
Highway. Planning for the project is being funded by the NSW State Government
as part of the $2.2 billion Pacific Highway Upgrade Program.
The September 2006 Wells Crossing to Iluka Road community
update describes the preferred route and the key reasons for its

Investigations are being conducted to further refine the route and develop a concept design, Discussions with community groups and individuals will continue.
